this morning i woke up in tuscany <3

so last night after class, me and five other girls got on a train and booked it all the way to tuscany. it was only a 3 hr train ride, so it was not too far from milan, but now that we are here it feels lightyears away. almost like we have drifted a few decades or centuries back in time because everything in florence feels so much more authentic. all the streets are made of cobblestone, the buildings are a lot closer together and amazingly old and tall, the streets are narrower, the people are amazingly friendly and the food from the restaurant we went to last night was all authentic hand made pasta!!! it was so much better than anything iàve eaten in milan!! milan reminds me a lot of san francisco in the more modernized aspect. it is dreary and there is a lot of shopping to do. but enough about milan..

staying here in the hostel are me, kate, shanda, brittany, ambar, jasmine and hayley. and really i could not ask for a better group of girls. they are all so amazing, and so different and we all get along so well. i have not laughed as much and as hard as i did last night in much a long time! probably since i have been here...thanks to brittany and her lama finger puppet tina...lol yeah i live with some weirdos...<3 but i love them all the same.

the hostel itself is very very nice! and cheap too! it is very clean, with old italian colored tiles and giant windows and they even have a free comp with free internet to use...hence, the blog entry, since i left my comp locked up back in milan! and this is also the reason why i will not be able to get pics up for two weeks...by the time we get back and i dump pics from tuscany onto my laptop, 2 days later we turn around and head out for PARIS!!!! i am really excited for that!!! anyways...the gentleman running the hostle is named Vladi and he is super super nice as well. could not ask for a better host. showed us to the yellow bar restaurant last night and gave us more towels this morning. amazing!

out hostel is located literally right next to the Santa Croce catherdral here in florence. i did not even realize that when i was booking it. S. Croce is where Michelangelo is buried...i am so blown away that i am living right here!!! you can believe that i am going all tourist today and taking as many pics as i can!! his works called la pieta and david are here as well...i will hunt them down!! actually i know the galleries and cathedrals they are in...cannot wait!!

so florence today and tomorrow, pisa on sunday and rome and the vatican city on monday...this weekend is going to be so much fun!!!

i am so blessed to be here. i thank God everyday that i am here and get to live this experience. this really has been the time of my life, and i would not change a thing about it. but then again i miss my family too...only 37 days will i come home!!! woo!!!

ciao bellas!!!
i love you all!!
